2 Passes to SAM’s Eric Rohmer Series and a SIX MORAL TALES DVD Box Set
Join SAM and Alliance Francaise de Seattle to celebrate the centennial of renowned writer-director Eric Rohmer (1910-2010), the comic, romantic moral philosopher of French cinema. Rohmer and his frequent collaborator, cinematographer Nestor Almendros, paint French life in tones of lyrical realism in this series of acclaimed films.
The series runs Thursdays from 1/16 – 3/12 and screenings include LA COLLECTIONEUSE, MY NIGHT AT MAUD’S, CLAIRE’S KNEE, CHLOE IN THE AFTERNOON, THE AVIATOR’S WIFE, THE GREEN RAY, THE ADVENTURES OF REINETTE AND MIRABELLE, and BOYFRIENDS AND GIRLFRIENDS.

Angel Ceballos has been a loyal patron of Scarecrow for nearly 30 years. She has taken portraits of over 200 indie bands & owns independent record label, Yellow Year Records. Over the years her photos have graced album covers, magazine covers, billboards, stage back drops & more. This item is for a produced photo shoot with Angel for you, your family, your pet, your band, head shots or any other project of your choosing. Angel will provide creative direction, styling and focus perfectly tailored to fit you and give you highly polished production quality photos.
Guidelines:
- This is for a single shoot (Up to 3 hours total time for prep & shooting)
- No event coverage (weddings, concerts, shows, parties)
- Photos can be used for promotion however (show flyer, play or party promotion)
- Photos can not be monetized
- If photoshoot winner has a concept that involves the need of props, clothing or studio time, cost is not covered by photographer but logistics are covered
- Only final edited shots will go to the contest winner (no un-processed raw shots)
- Seattle location is preferred but willing to travel if travel costs are covered

Gregory Blackstock Gift Basket
Seattle native Gregory Blackstock, who is autistic, supported himself from his late teens working menial jobs such as paper carrier, janitor, and dishwasher. He started creating his distinctive catalog style drawings in his early 40s, but he was nearly 58 years old before they were brought to the attention of a local art dealer and he had his first solo show soon thereafter. Today his work is held by museums, important collection, and individuals throughout the world.
Besides his art and playing the accordion for whomever will listen, Blackstock finds incredible joy in watching his favorite movies again and again. Early Disney animated films, Sean Connery’s James Bond, wildlife adventure shows from the early 60s are special favorites and he can – and will – recite all the parts from 1963’s It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, often startling fellow bus passengers. Naturally, over the years, he has been a frequent Scarecrow customer.
