Our favorite title this week is Best Picture nominee ARRIVAL (@ BLU), a fantastic sci-fi film starring Amy Adams as a linguist recruited by the army to translate an alien language when a host of starships appear above Earth. The unusual flashback structure eventually gives way to something very surprising as the very nature of the visitor’s speech starts to change her perception of time and space. Bring Kleenex.
