First up, the Heroes at the Criterion Collection have released one of the most beloved American films ever, Mike Nichols THE GRADUATE. There’s really nothing else to say about this one. It’s the Criterion edition of THE GRADUATE, so you have to have it.

 

Then, from the other end of the spectrum, Arrow has a new box set, THE AMERICAN HORROR PROJECT (@ BLU), a three-film collection of really rare vintage genre films, cleaned up and given a proper presentation. There’s MALATESTA’S CARNIVAL OF BLOOD from 1973, THE WITCH WHO CAME FROM THE SEA, and THE PREMONITION, both from 1976. These great little films have languished unseen for years, hopefully this set brings them the audience they deserve.

 

As for the rest, don’t forget to check out the following: Criterion also has Italian 60’s satire I KNEW HER WELL (@ BLU). Fritz Lang’s SPIES (@ BLU) and WOMAN ON THE MOON (@ BLU).
