This week’s biggest release comes from those Heroes at the Criterion Collection. Kirsten Johnson’s CAMERAPERSON (@ BLU) is one of the most innovative and compelling documentaries to come along in years. Johnson is a long time doc cinematographer who’s worked with some of the greatest filmmakers in the form, and this film collects leftover footage and b-roll from dozens of films she’s worked on over the years to create a personal essay/collage that effortlessly links themes and ideas across space and time. Do not miss it.
