It’s an all new Scarecrow Podcast!

This time Matt and Kevin are joined by Emily Shahan to talk about vintage anime, spurred by a recent viewing of the spectacular 1983 film GOLGO 13: THE PROFESSIONAL. It’s a great talk that eventually turns to a discussion of violence and the depiction of women in a lot of stuff from this period.

After we recorded this one it turned out there was an awful buzz on the track, but a far-flung Scarecrow fan, @simonbarber, managed to fix it for us! Thanks Simon!

But that’s not all! We were down in Austin last month for Fantastic Fest, and while we were there we managed to get a quick bonus episode in, a short interview with Rockie Juarez of the legendary Vulcan Video! This was recorded during the crazy closing night party for the festival, which took place a novelty Old-West Ghost Town. There was also lots of beer. Enjoy!
